Detail
These are photos i have taken around my school on 19/4/17 with a canon camera. All these photos follow a colour scheme of green and brown and they are mostly of nature.I think what went well about these photos is that they are all in focus and you are able to see clearly what all the photos are. I think they would be even better if i took photos containing a lot more different colours so the photos would look a bit more creative because although the green and brown work well together they are also a bit dull.
My favourite photo that i have taken today is the photo of the dead wasp.I like this because the colours really stand out and the photo really captures the light , it really goes well with the topic detail because you can really see all the patterns along the wasps body and i also like all the colours that are shown on the photos of the flowers. It could be better if i kept the camera shape and captured the flower photos clearly and not blurry.
Keith Appleby
Keith Appleby is a photographer that focuses on detailed images he usually takes photos of peoples weddings and captures really detailed and incidental images for people, Keith Appleby style of photography is relaxed and uses his skills to catch images that will exceed his clients expectations. I like his approach to photography because it fits my attitude towards photography, which is capturing stories that you don't necessarily see in the moment but can hold onto forever in one image.
This image is one of my personal favourites that Keith Aplleby has on his blog, because of the detail and the way he has managed to capture the little girl seemingly unaware that the photo is being taken. this is an example of capturing someones personality and how they feel without putting on a smile or posing for camera. The reason i like this type of photography is because you tend to capture images that people dont even know are being taken so you can see peoples emotions through the image and what really is going on.

mind map
My mind map has different ideas of what i can take pictures of and i expand my ideas by linking things to things like trees so that i had a wider range of things to chose from.
I wanted to capture some detailed and focused images of things and people around me,the camera i was using was the Canon EOS 1200D with the 300mm zoom lens. I wanted to focus on capturing people while they was unaware and to focus on the detail and surroundings, i almost crept around people to stay hidden and to make sure the people i was taking pictures of were oblivious. For example the photograph at the bottom right the detail that is obvious to me is the railing and the girls hair,
PHOTOSHOP
This is the image i edited on photoshop i went through a couple stages to get to this point, first of all i took a photo of some one walking on the walk way and uploaded it to photo shop secondly i used the magic wand tool to crop round the girl and finally i filled the image to almost blend it in with the railings. But to be honest i don't really like it because i think that i can be more creative and produce something a lot more interesting. The next image i'm going to edit will add some more in depth detail.
This is the second image i have edited using photoshop, as you can see i have added more detail into the part that i have cropped and have fitted a picture of a tree into the area that was cropped, in my opinion i think this image is much better than the first one because there is more to focus on and look at where as the other one was quite bland and dull.
Studio detail
Ive taken these image using the studio and a variation of objects, i set the objects up in certain ways so that i can capture different detailed images, the studio allows you to focus on one main thing if you want or you can focus on more the on e thing whether it is an object or a person. While using the studio i realised i was able to really focus on fine detail that you cannot usually see when just taking normal photographs, overall i found that using the studio really helped me decide on what to do on my final piece.
Final outcomes
This is the first step to my final piece the process i went through to create this was in the dark room where you create chemigrams, i have made several chemigrams to get to my last and final piece.
This is the second stage where i used a Stanley blade to cut shapes out of the chemigram, i also used the circle cutter so that i could get perfect circles on my work.
The third stage of my final piece was taking photographs of detailed things and print them out, this is so that i can stick these images behind the chemigrams.
The final thing to do was to glue the two together this made it look vibrant and different this is the reason why i chose to do this idea.
evaluation
My final piece was inspired by Keith Appleby and his rare approach to taking photographs of detailed things, my final piece does not look any thing like any of Keith Applebys work but i have used specific techniques to capture focused and defined images, the chemigrams where made in the dark room but i have made them so everything stands out and has bold lines so you can tell what object it is. Furthermore my final piece was developed and changed through out the process i had to cut things to size and swap certain images around. Keith Appleby really inspired me to create something special and mind blowing through out the time i spent looking at his work i found that he took a lot of time to master his technique to impress his clients. His work is really interesting to look at and his photographs almost tell a story because most of the photos he takes they are done inconspicuous so you can really see what the person in the image is feeling, this is what makes me like his work even more because how different and creative. I enjoyed working with the detail theme because how much freedom i had to be creative, also i enjoyed using Keith Apllebys techniques and inconspicuous approach to taking photographs. This project has been really enjoyable and i have had Overall this project has been a success in my eyes i have managed to achieve everything i wanted to do and a little more.
